Play therapy is starting to attract training providers, in South Africa, who are offering a number of short courses. These are usually not validated by a university, do not provide the option of a university academic award, do not lead to certification by a recognised professional organisation and only cover a fraction of the skills and experience that is needed to work effectively and safely with children. Unless they provide specialist training to extend your existing accredited qualifications for working with children.
